About fifty Williston residents and neighbors of W. W. Keltner gathered Tuesday to tear down the wrecked remains of his old barn and construct a new one in its place. Two sides and one end escaped serious damage while the rest was twisted beyond repair. Most lumber will be reused for the new barn on the original site.

Farmers Assured Of Federal Aid
St Paul Minnesota August 7 farmers will receive a $5,000,000 loan fund under a new act announced by President Wilson to aid food production next year. E G Quamme head of the St Paul district federal land bank returned from Washington and said the plan will help drought stricken districts including North Dakota. He noted the loan program is vital to the northwest and to war crop acreage. Quamme met treasury and agriculture officials and toured Williams county to assess local farmer conditions before leaving for Washington.

Washington August 3 The War Department outlines a new manpower program with draft ages 18 to 45 to be reviewed by Congress.
