Willard Ballot Tax Proposal to Fund Police Personnel
Willard voters face a 1/8 percent five year tax levy intended to fund a full time detective a juvenile officer and a school resource officer from the prior levy proceeds. At $40 000 annual income the tax would cost about 50 dollars yearly. If defeated two police positions could be laid off and arrests in drug and child abuse cases rely on the detective and juvenile officer.
