The board discussed post levy donations for special programming at the library and noted a 33 percent rise in circulation despite reduced hours last year. Water rate hike outlined for basic service charges
Giles explained the monthly basic service charge will rise to cover equipment costs, salaries, and maintenance for the water system while the consumption rate stays the same. For 2000 gallons monthly, bills rise about 6.50 to 15.50. 5000 gallons rise to 29.00. Aeration will improve lagoon treatment, and storm grate risers boost drainage. A land transfer and security lighting rate changes were also approved.
