Willard rail incident evacuees aided and CSX actions
Emergency in Willard after a CSX derailment led to evacuations. Police escorted residents back for medications while Willard High School became an evacuation center and later a community outreach hub with CSX providing meals. Air monitoring showed no dangerous styrene levels beyond immediate area. pets remained safe as responders assisted families. Kasich praised local responders and CSX for coordination and pledged continued on-site support and safety reviews.
