Thursday morning all the WHS boys who wanted to work left for Bryant Field. They repaired bleachers and added new boards, pulled weeds, and poured lime for yard lines. The field’s appearance is improved.

High School Library Gets Cleaned and Restocked
The library overseen by Miss Neathery has been cleaned for two weeks as old magazines are reviewed for future use. Seniors will sell outdated issues to fund the senior trip. 1949 magazine editions will be kept, and new books will be added this year after a Dallas trip by Mrs. Roddy and four staff members.

Students Enjoy Evening Hosted by American Legion Auxiliary
The Ladies Auxiliary of the American Legion entertained Whitewright and Honey Grove high school students after the football game with the football team and pep squad as honored guests. Games and refreshments followed and the students expressed gratitude, saying they had a swell time.

The Whitewright Tigers defeated Honey Grove Warriors 40 to 6 Friday night at Bryant Field.
