C. W. Bryant and son, Monroe, spent several days last week prospecting in West Texas. They traversed multiple upper Panhandle counties and found land quality and crop conditions favorable, but chose not to invest on this trip.
Mrs Maurice McMillin and her two sons Dan and Seldon spent several days with relatives and left Saturday for their home in Claremore Oklahoma.
A Cincinnati authority promotes Freezone as a quick remedy for corns and calluses. Applied to the affected area the product supposedly dries quickly and causes the corn to lift from root to tip without inflaming surrounding tissue. A small bottle costs little at drug stores. If not in stock, a pharmacist can order it.
The Denison Herald editorial argues it did not lead the anti liquor movement yet claims influence before the Dallas landslide. It predicts a challenge from Colonel Hugh Nugent Fitzgerald of the Fort Worth Record as the issue shifts through his county.

Red River Valley Fair will be held in Sherman from October 1 to 6 with premiums totaling 5000 dollars for exhibitors across departments. Officials say the event is planned on a much larger scale and a catalog with full details can be obtained by writing to Secretary Surratt of the Sherman Chamber of Commerce.
Emmet Penn and family departed early Saturday for Marlin to rest and recover, while their son Bryant joined them later and proceeded to College Station for the opening of A and M College for the fall term.
Government has built sixteen cantonments to house 687000 draft soldiers. About 150000 workers built roughly 1500 buildings per camp, using 30000000 feet of lumber and over fifty miles of water and sewer piping. Each camp costs two to three million dollars.
