In Brownsville Texas on September 13 four or five detachments of three American troopers from Company C Twelfth Cavalry engaged at Los Indian near dawn. Sergeant Walsh was wounded in the left side, Trumpeter Forney in the back with abdominal injury, and Private Kraft died from a head wound while firing. No Mexicans were killed. one was seen but vanished after search, possibly wounded.

Denison Votes 50000 for Viaduct in City Bond Election
Denison Texas voters approved 50000 in bonds to build a concrete and steel viaduct linking the business district with the south side. The 1800 foot span will cross Katy shops and yards. Final tally 452 yes 248 no, a 204 vote majority. South side residents celebrated with bonfires and speeches after the result. The project had been debated for years.
