The public school will open for a nine months term on Monday September 13. The building is cleaned and in good sanitary condition. A full list of teachers is provided for primary grades through high school. Pupils must enter at term start to avoid demotion as nine months of work are required to complete a grade.

Aug 29 Sulphur Springs Texas mob of several hundred men and boys burned two imprisoned Black men, King and Joe Richmond, at Buford Park after a deadly clash that killed Deputy Sheriff Nathan A. Flippin and wounded Sheriff J. B. Butler. A man died and the other was seriously wounded in a later woods confrontation nine miles south. The crowd seized the bodies and brought them to the town square.
