For ten months in 1957 Whitewright received 47.29 inches of rain, over three times the 15.53 inches recorded in the same period of 1956. October 1957 brought 2.55 inches with scattered daily totals, while 1956 October measured 2.09 inches. Totals for full years show 1956 at 21.73 inches and 1955 at 27.65 inches. Deaths Lloyd Moore 70 Denison funeral held at Johnson-Moore
Lloyd Moore 70 died in a Denison hospital after a heart attack at his home in Denison. He was co owner of Johnson-Moore chapel and his funeral was held at 10:00 a m with Masonic graveside rites in Oak Hill Cemetery. Born April 28 1887 in Trenton he lived in Whitewright and later Denison where he partnered in funeral firms and helped establish Johnson Moore funeral home. He is survived by his wife a son and other relatives.

Funeral rites were conducted at 2 00 p m Wednesday at Trenton Baptist Church for Tom H Cunningham 62 agriculture teacher at Trenton High School who died of a heart attack Monday in the school shop Burial followed at Oakwood Cemetery Honey Grove under Barnhart Funeral Home with a Masonic grave side service He was born October 7 1895 in Edhube married Lou Rasberry in 1922 taught 42 years at Whitewright before moving to Trenton in 1941 Surviving are his wife a foster daughter Betty Gillespie Dallas and four brothers Bill Cunningham Greenville Hase Cunningham Windom Bruce Cunningham Dallas and Joe B Cunningham Hawaii.

Governor Daniel will deliver a state wide radio address Friday in Waco at 3 p m supporting three constitutional amendments on the November 5 ballot.
