The Texas Legislature approved nine constitutional amendments with six to be voted on November 4. Grayson County would benefit from an amendment increasing counties taxing power for road maintenance, and allowing smaller cities to levy additional taxes for public improvements. Rural mail carriers received higher salaries, and the state highway department ships 40 000 mobile seals for 1920. Governor Hobby proclaimed November 11 a holiday to honor the armistice.
