School Lunch Menu Week Of Monday To Friday
The menu lists daily meals for the week beginning Monday with Irish stew baked apples crackers doughnuts and ice cream for Monday. Tuesday features meat balls with potatoes green beans creamed carrots cookies and chocolate milk. Wednesday serves red beans onions relish chips Bologna Apple Cobbler with a Dixie Cup and milk. Nine Youths Receive Registered Dairy Heifers in Sherman
Eight boys and one girl received registered dairy heifers at a Sherman awards day last Saturday. Nine heifers were returned to the circle started two years ago by the Grayson County Livestock Improvement Association with stock sponsored by local business leaders. Recipients included Robert Clift, Ruby Corbin, Bobby David, Grady Moore, David Blackerby, Billy Christman, Charles Turley, Floyd Lowe, and Larry Pettit. Returning heifers were listed with sponsors from Pool Manufacturing Co., Gunter Community, J. W. Smith Wood Preserving, Line Material and Font Mill, Whitewright Rotary Club, Lawn Dairy Farms, Kiwanis Club, and Cabell's Dairy.

Jimmy and Janet Smith children of Rev and Mrs Lee H Smith had three lambs in the Junior Lamb Show at the State Fair. Two of Jimmy’s lambs finished in the top fifteen percent and Janet’s in the top fifty percent. Cash premiums and pink ribbons were awarded by the fair junior livestock committee.
