Burtons Suit and Aftermath Across Oklahoma Era

Against the Missouri Kansas Texas Railway, Katyr John W. Burton sought damages for injuries claimed in Oklahoma, with doctors testifying paralysis. A $15,000 verdict was later paid but Burton reportedly recovered, living near Muskogee and working odd jobs. Affidavits from local residents contradicted the extent of his disability, detailing his active life and worker mobility years after the trial.
