Cotton Market Improvement Pushes Prices Higher
The cotton market shows gains with prices advancing several dollars per bale over the past ten days. On Wednesday cotton sold on the street for 23 cents, the best since early September. Few sales occur as most farmers have finished picking and sold quickly.

Preacher Falls Dead in Pulpit at Quinlan Texas
The Rev. C. N. Hester pastor of the Baptist Church in Quinlan Texas collapsed in the pulpit while delivering a sermon. Despite immediate artificial respiration and medical aid, he died from heart failure. His death occurred in front of his family and physician who was seated behind the pulpit.
