Proceeds will improve playgrounds and dressing rooms and may fund a gravelled tennis court. Personal equipment remains buyer’s responsibility. The association promotes clean athletics and will dismiss any player found to violate standards. Players must meet team eligibility rules.

Grayson County Seeks Maintenance Tax for Roads
A Texas county urges voter support for a constitutional amendment raising road and bridge funding to 80 cents and allowing a local 60 cent maintenance tax. Grayson could repair current miles, fund new work, and avoid bonds with no interest, if approved at the next election.

Obituary: Mrs. David Booker of Orangeville Passes at 89
Mrs. David Booker age 89 years 11 months died at home in Orangeville October 10 1919. Funeral held Sunday at Porter's school house Rev Wheeler of Trenton conducted the service and interment followed in Porter's Cemetery. Survived by husband 88 and children Martin Tuttle Oklahoma Billie Orangeville Marguerite Smith Hastings Oklahoma. The couple married 62 years and were longtime community helpers and Methodist Church members.

Live Stock Show and Carnival at Sherman
Sherman hosts a five day live stock show and carnival October 21 to 25 with no gambling. W C LeBarron says profits from wheels were declined in favor of a clean event, featuring the Kennedy Shows arriving in a forty car train and 25 big shows with rides bands and free acts. The livestock auction runs October 23 and 24 as the highlight.

A large social affair was held last Tuesday afternoon at Mrs John McMurrys home on West Main Street to honor her daughter Mrs J M McMurry formerly Miss Marguerite Keesee of Houston.
