Sherman Schools To Vote Oct 27 On $1 100 000 Bonds
Sherman Independent School District calls a special bond election for October 27 to approve a 1.1 million dollar bond issue to build four new units. Polio cases expected to hit 41000 in 1949 year end
New York report says 1949 polio cases will total about 41,000, up from prior estimates. Basil O Connor, president of the National Foundation for Infantile Paralysis, notes 33,144 cases so far, the highest single year total, exceeding the 1916 peak of about 30,000. Foreclosure of Tax Liens Set for November 14 1949
The district court of Grayson County Texas sets a tax lien foreclosure hearing for the 14th day of November 1949. The citation directs pear and defend such suit on the first Monday after the expiration of 42 days from issuance to show cause why judgment should not be rendered for taxes penalties interest and costs and condemning the property with foreclosures.
