Farmers from Bells Trenton Blue Ridge and nearby communities bring cotton to the Donigan government bonded warehouse for a 12 cent loan. Over 500 bales stored with more expected, allowing sellers to receive about $60 per bale now while awaiting higher prices. No warehouse charges are deducted from the loan. charges apply when the cotton is sold.
John H. Burma principal of Whitewright grade school spoke at the Rotary Club luncheon on schools and their development. He outlined state plans to streamline grades and have advanced students attend better equipped schools, noting Whitewright’s capacity and diverse offerings. Weldon Leon Creecy aged nine died at Wilson N. Jones Hospital Sherman after his foot was caught in a grain drill while riding with his older brother. He was born January 31 1925 in Medlintown and lived in Orangeville. Funeral at Orangeville Methodist Church with interment Burns Cemetery. he is survived by his parents two sisters and a brother.

John T. Cox 80, longtime Ely resident and former store operator, died at home Sunday after a three year illness. Born in Kentucky in April 1854 he moved to Texas as a young man and married Fannie Howard 52 years ago. Survived by four children Bud Hughes Ruby Hodges Walter Cox and J J Cox. Services Tuesday at 2 pm Enterprise Baptist Church conducted by Rev C Chumbley with interment in Blanton Cemetery east of Whitewright.
Bonham Texas news reports five year old Evelyn Tingle daughter of E Tingle of Randolph fatally burned Wednesday afternoon while playing with dolls. Her dress ignited near a stove and she died after being rushed to a Bonham hospital.
