Frank Thrift suffered a painful car crank injury Wednesday night resulting in a possible arm fracture or dislocation. He was transported to Dr. Neathery in Sherman the following day. Haskell Davis of Van Alstyne visited relatives here Sunday. F M Sloan and family spent Sunday in Sherman. Mr and Mrs Pell Cato welcomed a new baby boy. Miss Cassis Taylor and Miss Lelia Wiser attended church at Gray Bill Sunday. Mr and Mrs Crawford welcomed a baby girl staying with them since Saturday. L C Hampton of Greenville attended Sunday school. Rev Rodgers of Collinsville preached at the Christian church Sunday.
Employees of the Cotton Belt system are balloting on whether to strike. Second ballots have been sent and the result should be known in about ten days. Also offered: large fat mackerel at 10 cents each. T. J. Smith.
The Sherman Democrat reports the Grayson County Poultry Association will host the eighth annual Sherman Poultry Show on December 10 and 11. Entries close December 8, with fees of 50 cents per chicken and 1 dollar for breeding pens, turkeys, ducks, geese, and bantams priced per specimen. The event, backed by a strong premium list, draws on Grayson County’s thriving poultry industry and state wide reputation for quality birds.

C A Ray sold the Jefferson Hotel to J B Ramsey and C A Rives of Sherman Texas. Rives and family take charge after noon Tuesday with plans to learn the business, while Ray moves to McKinney Texas. Exchange price reported around 16000 dollars.
