A treasure estimated at 1.5 million dollars in silver coins lies in Manila Bay near Corregidor. Alton Ray Morris a 13 year old boy son of Mr and Mrs Robert Morris route three had his left hand badly injured Monday afternoon when a small fire cracker exploded in his hand. The Department of the Army announced that 7 572 American war dead from World War II have been returned from Europe aboard the United States Army Transport Carro ll Victory. 316 remains were returned for Texas next of kin, including Pfc James H Murphy son of Mr and Mrs James Murphy of the Cannon community.
