Pallbearers listed. Born August 9 1876 in Illinois, she lived in the area since childhood and belonged to Enterprise Baptist Church. Survived by several cousins.

Texans voted by a near nine to one margin for a constitutional amendment providing permanent aid to disabled persons. Final tabulations show 114,768 for and 13,842 against from 182 of 254 counties. The state election bureau estimated about 192,000 ballots cast. 64,000 votes unreported. The amendment caps monthly payments at 58 dollars with state 20 dollars and federal funds covering the rest. Eight other amendments were approved previously.
