Local chairman F. M. Echols says a Red Cross roll call drive will be organized this week. Whitewright’s quota is set at 250 dollars with local women's clubs sponsoring the effort. Grayson County’s Red Cross chapter runs a nursing service led by Miss Edna Druliner, whose withdrawal would follow a failed drive. the drive runs through November 30.

AAA Cotton Chief Upholds Program
Cully A. Cobb chief of the AAA cotton division said the government has not moved toward an unapproved control program. Will Rogers Film Sets Posthumous Box Office Records
Will Rogers films posthumously set earnings records, led by Steamboat Round the Bend which outsold his others by over 40 percent. Twentieth Century Fox declined to disclose total earnings. The last film In Old Kentucky releases next week as Steamboat Round the Bend runs its final night at the Palace Theatre in Whitewright.

Farm Receipts Show Big Gain This Year
The Agriculture Department reported farm cash receipts from principal products for the first nine months totaled 4.215 billion dollars. county centennial board holds meet
A Grayson County Centennial Board session convened at the Chamber of Commerce rooms in Sherman on Wednesday afternoon with town representatives present. Whitewright was represented by Mrs. R. T. House Prepares for End of Session in Austin

Tax Collector to Visit Whitewright Saturday
Sherman report states County Tax Collector J. C. Allred will be in Whitewright on Saturday to collect state and county taxes for taxpayers convenience. New Corn Hog Quota Okayed By AAA Conference
