New Bus Line From Whitewright to Denison to Open Sunday
The Dixie Motor Coach Corp will start a new Whitewright to Denison bus route this Sunday, Nov. 15. Virgil Ford of Whitewright to drive one of two buses used. Buses depart Whitewright for Denison at 6:15 am 9:47 am and 4:47 pm, arriving 7:00 am 10:32 am and 5:32 pm. Southbound buses leave Denison for Whitewright at 7:15 am 4:45 pm and 6:45 pm, with arrivals 8:00 am and 5:30 pm and 7:30 pm.

Acres Acquired for Denison Dam Reservoir Progress Report
The Denison District U. S. Engineers bought 1,661 acres in October toward the Denison Dam reservoir project, bringing total land purchases to 84,723 acres for $2,264,404. Of this, 60,343 acres are in Oklahoma and 24,380 in Texas. October added two Oklahoma tracts totaling 162 acres and nine Texas tracts totaling 1,499 acres. Officials note more than 140,000 acres remain to be acquired. Offers have been received on 120,544 acres, with 80,249 in Oklahoma and 40,295 in Texas, and only formalities remain to finalize agreements.

Gasoline rationing postponed nine days across 31 states
The Office of Price Administration announced a delay in gasoline rationing from November 22 to December 1 in 31 states not yet under ration control. Motorist registration is postponed a week, distribution hiccups plus twenty tons of coupon books held at Oakland airport caused the shift. A books benefit slightly from the delay. no coupons are moved. Commercial truck rationing also moved to December 1 with a 20 percent local reduction in ration allowances.

Body of Youth Found in Car Near Bonham
Freddie George Sullivan, 16, son of Mr. and Mrs. Garrett Sullivan, was found dead in a car on South Center near the courthouse square after an overnight trip with Edward Cooksey and H. L. Carpenter.
