Charter filing under the Cooperative Marketing Act will be sought, by laws adopted, and directors elected. Over 100 farmers have joined with about 12 000 dollars capital stock representing over 4 000 acres of cotton. Each subscribing farmer has one vote. membership limited to farmers. non subscribers may join and participate in the meeting business.

County Court Cases Postponed While Loy Attends Gambell Trial
Sherman. Criminal cases set for trial in Grayson County court this week have been postponed to the week of June 5. Juries were told not to appear as County Judge Jake J. Loy is summoned as a witness in Ballinger, Runnels County, in the Gambell trial. Also summoned as character witnesses are County Clerk C H Barrett and Tax Assessor-Collector Collier Yeary. The Ballinger case stems from a liquor violation arrest sought by Gambell and his partner. Bert Ford, liquor administrator, voiced confidence both Gambell and the other inspector would be absolved.

33 Survivors Rescued From Squalus Submarine
The US Navy completed a dramatic rescue of 33 men from the submarine Squalus off Portsmouth New Hampshire.
