Whitewright club hosts Hyde Park guests at Firemen's Hall

The H D Club entertained 17 Hyde Park Club members from Denison with a luncheon at Firemen's Hall. Guests included Mrs. Prilla Bynum Wichita Falls, Mrs. Raymond Brown Lincoln Mo, Mrs. C. C. Dooley, Mrs. J. C. Gillespie, and Miss Gladys Ray Whitewright. Mrs. Tom Brown presided. after lunch attendees toured art exhibits by Dooley and Gillespie and visited the Grayson College Museum where Ray described the college and the museum's founding. Also notes 1921 aviation farming first used for insect control by Ohio Agricultural Experiment Station.

Texas 65 Health Insurance Opens Second Enrollment

The Texas 65 Health Insurance Association announces a second open enrollment for Texans over 65 during June. Over 50,000 seniors joined the first enrollment last October. Residents past 65 may buy low cost coverage with no medical questionnaire June 1 to 15. Spouses and relatives can enroll on behalf of the insured.

Deaths mark two families in Whitewright area

Funeral notices record Lester Burchfield age 47 died in his sleep after a brief hospital checkup. He is survived by Mae Hicks Burchfield two sons Bob and Philip his parents Gus and Mrs Burchfield of Whitewright and five sisters and one brother. Ingram Bert M age 87 died Saturday night in a Trenton nursing home. burial at Cross Roads Cemetery born April 1 1877 Nobility son of William Ingram and died after a long life of farming. Surviving are three sons Tony Mack and Charlie Ingram two daughters and many grandchildren and great grandchildren. He was uncle to Pascal Cox and Ruth Cox of Whitewright.

Eugene Wilson Graveside Rites Held in Trenton

Graveside services were held at Burns Cemetery in Trenton for Eugene Wilson 76 of Denton. He lived in Trenton 40 years before moving to Denton 22 years ago. Survived by wife three sons four daughters one sister and four brothers including Willie Wilson of Whitewright and nine grandchildren.

Final Programs For Whitewright High School Graduation

Whitewright High School schedules final events with baccalaureate on May 24 at 8:00 p.m. at the Methodist Church and commencement on May 25 at 8:00 p.m. in the school gym. Rate Increase In Income Reported
