Area Labor Survey To Be Conducted In Denison Area

The Denison Chamber of Commerce will survey potential industrial workers within 45 miles of Denison as a major industry considers expansion. Residents aged 18 to 45 may register May 18 to 22 at the chamber or the Texas Employment Commission offices in Denison and Sherman, with interviews offered 1 to 7:30 p.m. during the same period.

In Saturday’s vote 459 registered. 23 ballots invalid. Maintenance tax 270 yes 166 no. Bond issue 264 yes 152 no. Two proposals: $1.50 maintenance tax and $275,000 bonds for a 20 acre site and new high school athletic plant. Dick Walker says completion by 1965.
