Kentuckytown H D Club met Friday with Mrs. Floyd Harris. Reports from the last council meeting were given by delegates. An all day gathering at Mrs. Harris home May 31 was planned. Demonstrators Mrs. Cassette and helpers Harris and Brown were chosen for a Sherman training school May 1. Others were selected for the pantry institute May 25 in Sherman. Grayson County Park Dam Nears Completion
The Grayson County park dam is closed and near completion with 8 000 of 58 000 cubic yards of earth left to move. It will back water to form a 54 acre artificial lake for fishing and swimming, with stock requests channeled through Judge J J Loy. The National Park Service approved 13 projects totaling about 20000 for park improvements including fencing roads and a lookout house, all by a civilian conservation corps unit stationed there since last November. The park lies on a graveled route between Sherman and Denison.

Kidnap Victim June Buried in Sand Grave With Air Holes
A six foot crowbar buried in the sand outside the box hid a kidnapped girl named June. Sand and trash concealed the site while holes in the iron cover supplied air. She slept on potato sacks and was provided oranges grape juice dates figs and bread. A five gallon water can and two towels were left for comfort. A jar reached by June and a hole in the grave’s bottom suggest concealment by kidnappers.
