U S Farm Price Support Investment Totals 8.9 Billion
As of March 31 the government's price-supported holdings on wheat corn cotton tobacco grain sorghums and other surpluses totaled nearly 8.9 billion. The Commodity Credit Corp owned 6.8 billion in inventory while 2.1 billion remained as outstanding loans to producers. A year earlier the investment stood about 60 million higher with roughly 7 billion in inventory.

Mrs. J. M. Dooley, 81, longtime Fannin County resident, died at her daughter’s home in Savoy. Funeral held at First Baptist Church Ector. burial in Carson Cemetery.
