The 34th annual Dallas Chamber and Wholesale Merchants Association tour will stop in Whitewright on Friday May 10 at 2 35 p m for 45 minutes. A committee led by Mayor F M Echols will welcome 70 business and professional visitors and entertainers. Alex Keese will host an entertainment program with Russel Koch Ted Perino Shorty Smyth and the Bumble Bees. Merchants are asked to stay open to receive the delegation.

45 Pound Tumor Removed From Girl Abdomen
In Wichita Falls a 45 pound tumor was removed from the abdomen of 20 year old Miss Juanita Percifal at Wichita General Hospital. Surgeon Dr. L B Holland reported 12 quarts of water drained from the cyst covering the mass and said the patient was resting well, with recovery expected in about two weeks barring complications. Prior to surgery she weighed 251 pounds.
