Shivers Opposes Eisenhower Road Plan At White House

Mrs Kate Skaggs 82 died after a lengthy illness Saturday. Native of Grayson County born at Bells she married James Lee Skaggs in Whitewright in 1898. he died in 1916. Survived by daughter Mrs W L Roberts, son Lt Col Howard J Skaggs of San Francisco, three grandchildren, and one great grandchild. Funeral Monday with burial at West Hill Cemetery.

In St Paul Minnesota three year old Joe Sommers promised not to touch his father car again while his siblings aged 8 and 6 fled from the auto as it rolled toward a 150 foot Mississippi river bluff.
