Deaths Herr Eugene H. Lewis 77 in Sherman
Funeral services were held in Sherman for Eugene H. Lewis 77 a former Whitewright resident who died at his home there late Thursday night. Burial was in Oak Hill Cemetery. He was born in Whitewright and married Pearl Gist in 1905. He worked as a building contractor in Whitewright and later as a millwright for Quaker Oats until 1943. He and his brother ran a planing mill and after retirement built a large cabin cruiser. Survivors include his wife a son Joe R. Lewis of San Marcos a brother Charlie Lewis of Slaton and a grandson.
