In Houston two casual acquaintances of Rev. Clarence L. Austin of Taft San Patricio County held him up in a hotel room and robbed him of 15 dollars. While walking Tuesday the minister spotted one robber fleeing and gave chase. He overhauled the man and required the return of the money as a policeman, who had trailed the chase, caught the other. The preacher continued on his way while the robber was jailed.

Two Men Injured in Wreck South of Town
A two vehicle crash south of town near the Grayson Collin line injured two Altoga men. Claud Collins regained consciousness with a head injury and lacerations at Sherman’s Wilson N. Jones Hospital. State liquor monopoly measure goes on Nov 3 ballot
Austin attorney general ruled the proposed constitutional amendment establishing a state liquor monopoly should be submitted in the November general election rather than a special election.
