Dr. W. A. Erwin of Ballinger has been called as pastor of the First Presbyterian Church of Whitewright. He and Mrs. Erwin will move here soon and begin work on April 1. The call was made at a well attended congregational meeting last Friday night after Dr. Erwin filled the pulpit there in recent weeks.

GPA Cuts Prices for Processed Grains in Grain Plan
Washington. The Office of Price Administration revised its rules on corn and processed grains under the grain conservation program. Maximum prices for all processed grains were reduced to discourage country elevators from grinding corn, as they can now obtain more for whole corn. Ground corn had a wide market, OPA said, and retail sales of corn were limited to 1,000 pounds or less to prevent wholesalers from selling small lots at higher retail prices.

CHICAGO Dr H Barton McCauley of Washington reports in the Journal of the American Dental Association that only 185,300,000 toothbrushes were made in 1944. Sixty percent went to the armed forces leaving civilians with 106,000,000 brushes. He says 220,000,000 brushes would be needed to supply everyone aged two to under sixty with two brushes per year.
