Deaths and funeral services for Carl W. McFatridge
Carl W. McFatridge 52 died suddenly of a heart attack at his home. Funeral services were held at the First Baptist Church in Durant with burial at Highland Cemetery. He founded Carl's Sausage Company in Whitewright and was a deacon at Durant’s church. Surviving wife Ola Mae Kerr, a son, a daughter, and three brothers and three sisters. Community attendance noted with business closures in Whitewright.

Mrs. John W. McMurry 91 Dies in Dallas Rest Home

She was born December 31, 1868, in Savoy, daughter of Rev. Robert F. and Jennie Jones, married in 1896 at Whitewright. Survivors include two sons J. M. McMurry of Shreveport and John W. McMurry Jr. of Waxahachie, a daughter Mrs. Margaret Madone of Berkeley, four grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
