Deaths in Sherman and Tioga Roster Local Notables
Funeral services were held Friday for T. G. McCafferty of Sherman who died Wednesday in a Sherman hospital. He was born August 25 1905 in Paris and married Willie Keener in Whitewright in 1925. Survivors include his widow a daughter a brother and four sisters. Also noted is the death of 74 year old Mrs Jennie Mae Doyle of Tioga with funeral and burial in Tioga. Survivors include her husband one son five brothers and two sisters.

22nd Annual Grayson Reunion Held Here Sunday
The 22nd annual Grayson College Ex-Students Association reunion drew over a hundred former students and friends. Miss Gladys Ray presided as president with officers reelected, including George German as vice president and Joe B. Hamilton as treasurer. A $250 scholarship to Jean Johnson was awarded, with lectures and a program recalling college days. In Beverly Massachusetts a nine year old boy reached toward an owl nest and was seized by the bird. Firefighters freed him after about twenty minutes by spraying the nest with a hose when attempts to smoke the owl out failed. The youth escaped unharmed.
