W L Hay announces that women may register to vote in the July primary after June 26 until July 12 at the county tax collector office in Denison and Sherman. Registration is free and includes a receipt with registrant name and precinct. poll taxes apply to women after 1918.
Miss Anice Cook has returned from Belton where she attended Baylor College the past session.
Washington reports 7 315 American expeditionary force casualties to date including 1 033 killed in action and 4 046 wounded. The tally also lists 342 missing or prisoners and 310 deaths from wounds plus 1 192 from disease and 392 from accidents and other causes. Marine losses are still being tallied.

The Secretary of Agriculture will enforce the provisions, inspect records, protect confidentiality, and prohibit unjust profits monopolistic practices and trade resale to violators of the food control act. Applications go to the law department license division US Food Administration Washington DC.
About 60 threshermen met in Sherman at the Chamber of Commerce to pledge patriotic duty in saving grain. E H Conievar of Dallas, counsel for the United States government, urged preventing waste and ensuring wheat is fully separated from straw, stressing machine care and careful threshing as part of the war effort.
The county threshing committee, chaired by S. G. Swain with C. C. Morris and W. L. White, will cooperate with threshermen and farmers to secure fuel repairs export help and grain savings. It will receive complaints on Food Administration rule violations and aims to save every grain of wheat.
A meeting of the Grayson County Democratic Executive Committee is called for June 17 at ten o’clock a.m. at the Sherman court house to assess candidates for the July primary.
