Whitewright City Employees Get Two Weeks Vacation
Whitewright city employees will receive two weeks of vacation after one year, plus five days sick leave to begin on the second day of illness and six paid holidays. The decision was made at the regular city council meeting in Fireman's Hall with Mayor Dick Walker presiding and all councilors present. James Featherston, 25, was charged Monday with raping a 15 year old Whitewright girl. He is jailed in Grayson County under a $5,000 bond. The assault allegedly occurred at Featherston's residence. the girl was not hospitalized. Deputies arrested Featherston at his home Monday afternoon on a Grayson County warrant.
