Jefferson teen Jimmie Jacobs known as 180 lb wrestling minister
Jimmie Jacobs of Jefferson Georgia 18 a senior at Jefferson High is an undefeated 180 lb Dragon wrestler and itinerant preacher described as possibly the youngest minister in the area. He earned a Southeastern area win in the Kiamichi Preacher Boy contest in May receiving 100 dollars and led a week at the Kiamichi clinic competing for a national four year college scholarship. Jacobs spoke to about 10 000 attendees and faced a vote setback on the national award. He and his family moved from Tennessee in 1972 73 and he emphasizes faith weightlifting and evangelism despite notedPraise he often preaches hellfire sermons and believes Jesus will return.

Mrs. A T Woodruff 83 died Monday in a Sherman hospital with services May 25 at the Methodist Church in Tren ton. Burial followed at Randolph Cemetery. Born June 18, 1892 in Tennessee she married Tony Woodruff June 12 1911 in Randolph and was a Methodist. Surviving are five sons R T of Leonard Jack of Hurst Pete of Garland Mac and Dempsey of Trenton four daughters Jimmie Havens of Leonard Annie Fullmer Winnie Anderson of Trenton Billie Hawkins of Bedford one brother Willis Russell of Whitewright 23 grandchildren ten great grand children

Funeral services for Mrs Gus sie Grammer 86 of Whitewright were held at Earnheart Funeral Home chapel with burial at Holloway Cemetery. She died Tuesday in a Sherman hospital born October 3, 1890 at Luella she married L H Grammer January 6 1908. She was a Church of Christ member. Survivors include two sons W L Tib Grammer and Bill Grammer, a sister Annie Lee Bishop, five grandchildren and eight great grandchildren.

Whitewright Council Names Health Officer and Water Funds Standstill
Dr. Paul Geers was appointed City Health Officer with a term to June 20 to meet state law. The council took no action on the Top of the Hill water project due to a $6,500 funding gap while awaiting federal aid and anticipated fines and monthly allocations. A plan to install a six inch water line from Bond Street fire plug to Holloway Farm is under consideration.
