Negro School to Begin Monday in Whitewright

Whitewright will open its Negro school Monday for six weeks with a six week recess for cotton picking. A bus will transport about 15 eighth grade and high school students to Sherman, with stops at White Rock, over the Whitewright Sherman farm road. The school board added Wilson Kaiser to replace Russell Summers as a director and named Mrs. Lallace May as grade school teacher, with a replacement for Bryce London yet to be hired. High and grade schools likely start September 11.
