Whitewright faces choice on historic landmark building
Whitewright school board seeks public input on the old three story Whitewright college building on the middle school campus. It is unsafe for students, leaks, cracked walls, vandals target it, fire insurance costs are high, and annual maintenance ranges from 2000 to 2500 dollars. Some favor repairing for history, others see perpetual costs as waste. Public viewing hours are 7:30 to 3:30 daily, and opinions can be sent to Supt. Capps or board members.
