Holdover county officials were sworn in this week. Sheriff Woody Blanton and deputies were ordained by Judge R C Vaughan at midnight Sunday in a large turnout. Murray Nance named deputies and Wayne Bruce won the precinct 2 commissioner seat while holdovers include Judge Jim Dickson and others. Robert Dean remains hospitalized with pneumonia.

Mrs George M Hight directed the program featuring a vocal solo The Desert Song by Mrs Floyd Bassett with Mrs Madge Braly on piano and a poem A Psalm of Life by Miss Carrie Hamilton, followed by officer elections for two years with officers including President Mrs Houston Darwin and vice president Mrs Clarence McMillan. The next meeting is set for January 17 at Mrs Houston Darwin's home.

Henry Ford Estate Final Accounting Filed in Probate
In Detroit Michigan a final accounting of Henry Ford's estate was filed by his three grandsons. The filing values the estate at about 80.3 million with the Ford Foundation receiving 38.6 million and the four grandchildren Henry Ford II Benson Ford William Ford and Josephine Ford sharing 12.9 million. Mrs Clara J Ford acted as executrix before her death last September 29.

Funeral services for W C Dickson 67 who died Sunday at a Sherman hospital after an extended illness were held at 3 p m Monday at Southmayd Methodist Church. Burial was in Memorial Park Cemetery. He was born October 12 1883 in Grayson County, a retired farmer, husband of Bernice Davis since 1908. He lived his life in Texas and was a Methodist. Survived by wife two sons William C Dickson Jr Southmayd and John L Dickson Fort Worth two sisters Mrs Jack Grindstaff Sherman and Mrs Debbie Burns Whitewright and one grandchild.
