Fire nearly reached the barn but a bucket brigade saved it. the two story landmark, once the T. A. Hamilton home, had $800 in insurance on the building and $200 on contents.

AAA to Pay Two Cents Per Pound on Cotton Certificates
The Agricultural Adjustment Administration announced a partial payment of two cents per pound or ten dollars a bale to producers who surrendered Bankhead act tax-exemption certificates to the national surplus pool.
