Funeral services for Lilian Bess Schwiening daughter of Mr and Mrs Alfred Schwiening Jr were held at St John s Episcopal Church Sonora on Sunday. The 13 year old died Friday at the Denton State School where she had lived for years. Survived by parents two sisters Jean Ellen and Clara Margaret maternal grandmother Mrs H T Atterberry Whitewright and paternal grandparents Mr and Mrs Alfred Schwiening Sr Sonora.
Funeral services were held Tuesday at Ector for E Warren Ross 48 farmer stockman who died Sunday at his Ector home after a long illness Burial was in Oak Hill Cemetery He was born September 25 1915 on a farm near Whitewright son of Mr and Mrs Joe Ross He married Pauline Ownby on September 9 1937 Survivors include his wife a brother J E Ross of Ector and three sisters Mrs Logan Johnson of San Angelo Mrs Lora Hicks of Sherman and Mrs Guy Jones of Garland
John Jerry Wootten 21 of Denton died in a two car collision on a Denton area highway Saturday night. Luther Anthony 23 of Krum also died. Wootten was a former North Texas State University student and worked at a Denton supermarket. funeral services were held at 2:30 p.m. Monday at the First Methodist Church in Denton.
Herman J. Denton 68 died Sunday in Texas City from injuries in an automobile crash. Funeral services were held Wednesday in Bonham with burial at Willow Wild Cemetery. He managed the Coca Cola bottling plant in Galveston and formerly led the Bonham plant. He was the son of the late C. J. Denton and a Whitewright High School graduate. He is survived by his wife and a sister Mrs. Harry Mitchell of South Bay Florida.
