Reward Offered in Local Burglaries

City Marshal J. T. Roberts announces a reward of 25 dollars for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the offender or offenders involved in burglaries to the post office and stores here last Wednesday night. He is actively pursuing leads and expects to apprehend the guilty party.

Wednesday Wedding on the German Farm

Elder Geo H. Williams joined Mr. John H. Trigg and Miss Clementine Bow in matrimony at the Bow residence on the German farm east of town. The ceremony occurred at three, followed by a hearty country meal. They plan to live on the German farm where both have resided. The Sun extends best wishes.

Pastor to Speak at Baptist Church Sunday Morning

At The Baptist Church the pastor will speak Sunday morning to down and out Christians. He invites everybody to attend with a special call to those troubled by doubts and discouraged by mistakes and sin.

County Interscholastic Contests Set for Bonham April 3

The county Interscholastic League contests will be held in Bonham on Saturday April 3 with tryouts for debating declamation and spelling in the forenoon and finals in the evening. Athletic contests occur in the afternoon. New declamation contests for girls are added at county and district levels. Teachers urge reforms to raise Texas education standards

The State Teachers Association Executive Committee, led by Supt. C. J. Denton from the Fourth district, urges passage of House Bill No. 217 Rural School Bill and other reforms. They seek compulsory education, county school taxes, removal of tax limits, higher education funding, and county superintendent elections to elevate rural and state schooling. The group commends the Legislature and Governor for educational support as Austin hosts its annual meeting.

McKinney to Paris Interurban Line Under Review

The McKinney Bonham Paris interurban line is under revival with Dallas capitalists and traction builders expressing interest in financing. A survey by Fred A. Jones was done months ago and reports will be sent to New York financiers for consideration. The proposed route would link with Dallas via the Texas Traction Company line from Dallas to McKinney. Postmaster J D Wilson of Trenton visited the city Monday. For sale a small black land farm with hogwallow land and a home in East Whitewright.
