Paul Phillips Named Senior Engineer for G T Co in Lewisville
Paul Phillips son of W A Phillips of Whitewright has been named senior transmission and protection engineer for General Telephone Company in Lewisville. A Sherman 1965 switchman recruit, he is a Whitewright High School graduate who studied at Furman University. He served eight years in the USAF earning the rank of lieutenant. Married to the former Birlene Ferguson, they have two children.

Mr and Mrs Sonny Gosnell returned from a trip last Friday February 12. They arrived in Oklahoma City Monday February 8 and flew to Caracas Venezuela on a chartered Eastern Line plane. Rotary Club Banquet in Grayson County College Dining Hall
The Rotary Club held its annual banquet in the Grayson County Jr College dining room with Rev. Bill Grisham delivering the invocation. Grayson County Easter Seal Campaign Plans Announced
Mrs. Al Norrell, executive director, announced the 1971 Easter Seal campaign starts March 1 and ends April 1. Milly Haring was named campaign chairman. she co-owns Haring Office Equipment in Sherman and has been active in civic affairs. The goal is $9,000 to fund physical therapy, speech therapy, deaf preschool, handicapped preschool, and equipment loans at the Master Seal Center in Sherman. Local residents are urged to support door to door drives and the mail appeal.
