Junior Project Show Set for April 3 Whitewright Lions
The Whitewright Lions club with FFA advisors plan a Whitewright Junior Project Show on April 4 with judging of heifers bulls steers and fat hogs. Bill Dyer Ray Martin lead the committee with Bob Darwin and Jack Rogers to plan details. Invitations went to 30 schools as organizers hope for a large turnout and trophies and rosettes will be awarded.

Lions Light Bulb Sale Opens Aids Blind Fund
The Lions Club annual light bulb sale runs through March with an all day sale this Saturday. Chairman Joe Norwood says bulbs are sold in 2.50 packages including 60, 70 and 100 watt bulbs. commercial bulbs available on request. Money supports the foundation for the blind and a local scholarship fund. Lions also held a sweetheart dinner at Fireman's Hall with 50 guests served.

Julie Johnson, a junior student and daughter of Mr. and Mrs. David Johnson in northeast Texas, is named to Who's Who Among American Music Students. She performs since age three, fronts Melody III with Kay Geers and Brenda Thornhill, and helped win state talent show championships for two years. Julie excels academically on high honor roll and leads in FHA Beta and Drill Team, serving as officer in each for two years. She is junior class president and a junior yearbook editor, with limited formal music training from her mother, Janis Horton, a noted musician. Mrs. Johnson has served as accompanist and choreographer for Julie and Melody III.
