Luther Gordon with a 54 year grocery background will reopen a store Saturday in the former oil office building on Main Street. Gordon, who ran a grocery 1915 to 1942 and earlier clerked seven years, retired in 1942 but plans to be back at the counter for his former customers. He says he is eager for Saturday to arrive and to be “at home” again.

Boy Scout Service Held Sunday Night At Baptist Church
In observance of National Boy Scout Week a service was held at the Baptist Church Sunday night for scouts and the public. Rev. R. L. Gilpin delivered the sermon.
