Mr. and Mrs. Thurston Montgomery observed their 60th anniversary at their Whitewright area home. They wed December 21, 1898 at the Baptist Church in Whitewright. The couple, natives of Whitewright, have three children S. T. Montgomery Jr. of Whitewright, Mrs. R. E. Sandlin of Ferris, and Mrs. C. T. Atkinson of Lyons New York, plus nine grandchildren and five great grandchildren.
