Father Dead Son Gives Up Father Dead
Belton Texas James Lanham 19 is jailed in Bell County on murder charges for fatally shooting his father Will Lanham at the family home ten miles southeast of Belton shortly after noon Wednesday He surrendered to Theo Wilkinson who then turned him over to the sheriff The shooting used an automatic pistol past family trouble included a June 29 incident in which the elder Lanham was wounded and the son was bound over for October term but the grand jury no billed him.

Work of Graveling Highway To Start Soon
A Trenton committee conferred with the Commissioners Court on widening and gravelling the highway between Trenton and Whitewright to meet state specifications.
