Local student dies after accidental shooting outside Whitewright
Funeral services for Larry Compton year old youth who was accidentally shot in his head with a .22 rifle while playing with the gun were held at 2 p.m. Saturday at Barnheart Funeral Home. He was a student at Whitewright Elementary School. He was born September 22, 1955 in Lamesa. Survivors include his parents four brothers and two sisters.
