Grayson College Ex-Students Hold 8th Reunion
More than two hundred former Grayson College students gathered Sunday at the High School building for the eighth annual Grayson College Ex-Students Association meeting. The program featured an invocation, music, address by B. B. Cobb, memorial rites for eleven deceased ex-students, a memorial marker dedication costing 650 dollars, and an afternoon variety show. Officers were elected, a potential Grayson College scholarship at North Texas State College discussed, and numerous ex-students and out-of-town guests attended from Dallas, Bonham, Sherman, Whitewright, and beyond.

Enterprise Whitewright merger approved by votes
The Enterprise district voters approved consolidation with Whitewright ISD with 19 for and none against. In Whitewright, 286 voted for and 5 against the Enterprise consolidation. The merger places Enterprise into Whitewright’s system, promising same benefits and potential tax efficiency as districts consolidate. Other districts may join Whitewright to grow and improve schools.

Keokuk man given jail terms for near fishing spree
Alfred Baldwin of Keokuk received a 55 day jail sentence after arraignment for fishing violations at the Keokuk dam. He was fined 30 days for snagging fish out of season, 15 days for taking spoon bill catfish out of season, and 10 days for improper fishing license.
