Police report John Jenkins aged 79 was beaten and robbed of 125 dollars by two assailants on August 11. He suffered a broken jaw and multiple injuries, found on a sidewalk near Grand and Bond at 11 p.m. He was taken to Geer's Clinic then to Community Hospital in Sherman in poor but improving condition. Pigskin Club Sets Aug 27 Barbecue Before Anna Scrimmage

Grayson County College Sets August Registration Dates
Registration for Grayson County College fall term is set for August 23 and 24 from 8 30 a m to 3 15 p m in the business building. Sophomores with 240 or more hours register on August 23 and freshmen with under 24 hours on August 24. Classes begin Wednesday August 25. Over 1 300 students had registered by August 13, up from last year, per registrar Frank Graves.

Little League No 2 of Whitewright won the Grayson Fannin County Bay League title with a 17 win season and one loss to Van Alstyne.
